Connection message privacy notice

This notice applies to connection messages introduced in the Bloom app on October 11, 2026. Existing Matrix table rooms remain subject to the existing privacy policy.

Information and purposes

We process participant account identifiers, message text and sending times, read positions, notification preferences, and block and report records to verify connections, deliver and store messages, send notifications, and handle blocks and reports.

Storage and access

Message text is encrypted at rest in the company's application database. This is not end-to-end encryption. Only the two participants can read the conversation in the app. Reports do not automatically include message text. The operator screen shows the reporter, target, reason, time and completion record only.

Retention and deletion

Removing a connection stops new messages but both participants can still read the history. Reconnecting enables sending unless blocked. When an account is deleted, the text authored by that member is deleted and shown to the other participant as a deleted message.

A block remains until removed or until the blocking member deletes their account. Reports are deleted one year after an operator marks them completed. Unresolved reports remain while they are needed for handling. Account deletion also removes reasons submitted by that member.

Deletion applies to the service database. Remaining backups follow the retention and disposal provisions of the existing privacy policy.

Blocks and notifications

A block prevents messages in both directions and excludes the pair from the same table in future Mixer composition. Already published tables are not automatically changed; contact the operators if an adjustment is needed.

New messages may trigger a generic Push notification on devices with notifications enabled. Notifications contain neither the sender's name nor message text. No unread-message email is sent. You can mute all message notifications in the inbox or one conversation in its settings.
