About
Bloom Mixer is a dinner for 4-6 from Bloom, an AI community in Seoul. We read every application, group people who will actually have things to talk about, and book a quiet restaurant. No speakers, no sessions. Just dinner and conversation.
We ran twenty tables across two rounds in August. In the first round's survey, all sixteen respondents named someone they wanted to meet again. We also heard that one restaurant was too loud to talk in. Since then, a quiet table comes before a famous one.
Why we do it this way
- One window: Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings near Gangnam Station. Even with plenty of compatible people, scattered times and places make it hard to seat them together. Concentrating both is what makes the best matches possible. Friday starts at 7 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 6 PM, and you are welcome to join more than one day.
- We match on your application, not your company or title. Tell us what you're interested in, or stuck on, and what you want out of the evening. The more specific you are, the better we can match you.
- No group chats. Chat rooms create pressure, so we built this to show only what's needed, with nothing about you exposed. Once tables are set, you get a one-line anonymous intro to each tablemate, and on the day, anyone running late or dropping out shows up right on your guide screen. Names unlock 1 hour before the dinner, only between people who opt in.
- If we cannot build a table that genuinely fits you, we will not waste your evening. We tell you right away, refund in full, and include a discount code for the next round.
Before you apply
- Restaurants are within a 5-minute walk of Gangnam Station, announced individually once tables are confirmed. Reservations are under "Bloom".
- The fee is 20,000 KRW. It covers reading applications, matching, and reserving. Food and drinks are paid on site, typically 30-40,000 KRW per person.
- Applications close Thursday 1 PM for Friday, and Friday 1 PM for the weekend dinners. Full refund anytime before close, right from My page. After close, matching and reservations begin, so refunds are not available.
- Coming with a friend? Apply separately. We do the seating, and you'll each meet new people at different tables.
- English speakers are welcome. If enough English speakers join, we seat an English-speaking table.

Can I come alone?
Yes, most people do. Sitting down with people you haven't met is the whole point.

We personally read what you write when applying and compose tables that will click. Before the dinner you get short intros to your tablemates.
Can I get a refund after paying?
Full refund any time before applications close, right from My page. After close, tables and reservations are set, so payments are non-refundable.
How do I get the day-of details?
Once your table is set, you get a personal link by email and on My page: restaurant location, tablemate intros, conversation starters, with any changes reflected live.
